Inspired by its strategic goal to increase student success, Cerro Coso Community College launched a free mobile application that gives students the information, tips, and tricks they need to succeed. GradGuru guides and motivates students to take action and engage in behaviors that have been proven to lead to higher and faster completion rates.
The FREE app helps students keep track of campus-specific deadlines, better understand the milestones they need to hit, learn what behaviors lead to academic success, tap existing student support and financial aid resources, and share these lessons with one another.
Students can create a customized profile and based on personal and school information the app suggests events, activities, and tips. Using the app is like having a personal counselor available whenever they need it.
Students are busy with work and family. And navigating community college can be complicated, especially for the 40 percent of students who are the first in their families to go to college. GradGuru will fill a big part of the information gap, making it easier for students to keep track of deadlines, learn tips and tricks to stay in school, and finish faster.
