The deadline for graduating Cerro Coso students accepted to a four year university to apply for the Pam Coward Memorial Scholarship is 12 noon on Friday, April 18, 2014.
This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time Cerro Coso student with a 3.5 GPA or higher who has been accepted to a university or 4-year Institution of Higher Education. No declared major required to apply.
Students from all Cerro Coso campuses are eligible to apply for this scholarship established in honor of Pam Ann Coward by her coworkers after she lost her courageous fight with brain cancer in 2010. Pam was a Human Resource Assistant at Cerro Coso for 10 years and was well known for her strong sense of integrity and selflessness. She will be remembered most lovingly for her compassion, strength, and devotion to her husband, family, friends, animals, and coworkers.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to an outgoing Cerro Coso student who exhibits the leadership, initiative, and passion for education for which Pam was known.
