COYOTES STILL LOOKING FOR 1st WIN: After another loss, the Coyotes (0-11) can take some confidence away from their matchup with conference powerhouse San Bernadino. The Coyotes were able to string together several consistent innings before the wheels came off. The Coyotes head to Barstow to the Vikings (6-7) in a one-game stand on Tuesday, February 25 at 2:00pm.

ABOUT THE COYOTES:

The Coyotes looked resurgent against a disciplined SBVC team on Saturday. With a strong pitching performance from Eric Larsen (FR/Silverado HS) and consistent fielding in the first six innings, the Coyotes built a lead going into the top of the sixth. Third baseman Ian Schultheiss (FR/Santiago HS) picked up the play at third making several tough throws to get crucial outs for the Coyotes.

With the Bat: Freshman Chad Butler (Redlands HS) is continuing his hot streak, improving his batting average to .349, with 11 RBI.

On the Bump: Larsen threw 5 innings on Saturday, only allowing 3 earned runs against a very savvy and disciplined batting lineup from SBVC.

In the Dugout: Coach Jon Holmes has seen improvement over the last several weeks by his boys and was pleased with the way they battled against SBVC. "Things are headed in the right direction, we are learning from our mistakes and making strides."
