Cerro Coso Accepting Applications to Nursing Program

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the need for more than 580,000 new and replacement nurses by the year 2018. Cerro Coso's Accelerated Nursing Program for those who have completed the mandatory prerequisites will enable more students to complete in 12 months and puts them on the fast track to employment.

The college is currently accepting applications for the new 12-month program which begins January 14. Applications will be accepted through October 31, 2013. Only complete applications will be processed and eligible applicants will be invited to a mandatory program orientation and lottery drawing to be held on:

Ridgecrest - November 12, 2013 at 3 p.m.
Lake Isabella - November 13, 2013 at 3 p.m.
Bishop - November 14, 2013 at 3 p.m.

Students who complete the Accelerated Vocational Nursing Program will be qualified to sit for state board for LVN licensure.
