Cerro Coso Community College is offering a Choir class at the Ridgecrest campus this fall. Back by popular demand Music 151—Choir—will meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 9:10 p.m. in Room 146 of the Main Building.
This one unit course includes the preparation and performance of basic choral works, including one masterwork yearly. Participation in a public performance is required.
Cerro Coso students who love to sing and would like to sing with the College Choir are encouraged to enroll. With a new season of epic proportions in the works for this fall, "the college is looking for singers in all sections," said Department Chair Lören Sandvik.
Choir is designed to nurture student musicianship, build confidence, and encourage artistic expression through developmentally appropriate vocal instruction. The Cerro Coso Choir class will provide an ensemble experience that allows students to develop musically as individuals while contributing to the joy and artistry of singing with others.
