Cerro Coso Honors Graduates During Commencement Exercise at ESCC

Cerro Coso Community College Commencement Exercises for the Eastern Sierra College Center were held in Bishop on Friday, May 3, 2013.

Kern Community College District Chancellor Sandra Serrano presided at the ceremony.

Friends, relatives, staff and faculty gathered to honor a class of 44 eligible graduates from the Eastern Sierra College Center in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes. Graduates included: Catherine Anger, Jessie Armstrong, Jessica Bellissimo, Jennifer Bladwin, Alyssa Barlow, Julie Carter, Jaymee Chaides, Brooke Chesser, Marissa Diener, Alondra Figueroa, Sadie Finney, Timothy Gallagher, Rafael Haro, Angela Harvey, Christopher Heckerman, Jordon Hess, Angela Jackson, Kaylan Johnson, Michele Larson, Margo Lella, Lovemore Mazwi, Chelsey McDowell, Elizabeth Meacham, Freddy Miller, Tanya Mitchell, Barrett Montiel, Ann Moose, Pablo Muro, Star Narcomey, Jennifer Park, Teresa Partida, Becky Rambeau, Adelina Rico, Maggie Wolfe Riley, Rebekah Rivera, Jared Saulque, Edgar Solorio, Krystle Stewart, Vanessa Taylor, Jessica Tex, Alisha Tiner, Bree Trimble, Lynnell Wood, and Gerritt Wormhoudt.

Three graduates were selected to address their classmates: Maggie Wolfe Riley (A.S. Licensed Vocational Nursing), Marissa Diener (A.A. Math and Science), and Chris Heckerman (A.A. Math and Science).

Christina Christenson-Rockwell delivered the alumni address and student Chelsey McDowell sang the National Anthem. The Eastern Sierra Chamber Orchestra Strings conducted by Brian Schuldt provided music for the festivities.

Special thanks to the Eastern Sierra Foundation, Mammoth Lakes Foundation, and Donald M. Slager – Sunset Foundation for their role in helping these students to achieve their educational goals.
