Cerro Coso Community College will host the Desert Community Band's Spring 2013 Concert on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the College Lecture Center.
Directed by Debra Veit, the concert will feature the development of music in America from the Sousa march to movie music. A Dixieland piece will feature Gary Fry, Peter Forney, Roger Lacher, Paul Decker, Bill Knehans, and Rudelisa Solidarios in a combo accompanied by the band. Other pieces featured will include ragtime, swing, circus, cartoon, rock and roll, and jazz.
Come ready to have your Broadway show knowledge tested as you listen to "25 Years of Golden Classics".
The concert is sure to be fun for the whole family and the public is invited to attend for FREE.
