Rape is just another word, unless it happens to your wife, your daughter, your sister, your mother, your aunt, your niece, your cousin, your best friend, YOU. Then it becomes PAIN you live with for the rest of your LIFE.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Student Government of Cerro Coso Community College is sponsoring two Rape Prevention Workshops to help raise public awareness and educate students and the community on how to prevent sexual violence.

The workshops presented by the Women's Center-High Desert will be held on Friday, April 5 and 19th, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the College Lecture Center and are open to the public. Admission is FREE.

Donations of body soap, shampoo and conditioner, canned goods, large diapers, and wipes for the local Women's Center would be greatly appreciated.
