Making high quality affordable movies and videos has never been easier thanks to the popularity of digital video cameras and video enabled smartphones. These new pocket sized tools have made creating family and business videos easier than ever. The challenge is taking the great images you've captured and editing, adding graphics and titles, then finishing your masterpiece for sharing and distribution over the web or on DVD's.

This spring the Office of Community Education at Cerro Coso Community College is offering a Digital Video Production course covering these topics and others designed to help you build important skills for the new digital media age. The course's instructor, Ray Hocker, is a professional photographer and filmmaker. He has produced over a dozen broadcast television programs shown around the world.

The course will meet on Monday and Wednesday, March 4 and 6, 2013, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

For a $40 fee you can learn the basics of Digital Video Production.

This class is open to the public and does not award college credit. The minimum age to participate is 12.
