Cerro Coso to Offer French for Travelers

Cerro Coso Community College is offering a community education class French for Travelers covering the basics of what you need to know to make your travel to France a smooth sejour. France is a great place to visit, and Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world and that means you need to make reservations for everything.

Stephanie Loutas-Kapeles, a Ridgecrest resident, will teach participants how to plan properly for a trip to France; greet others in French; pass through passport control at the airport; navigate the Parisian metro system; purchase train and event tickets; give and receive basic instructions in French; make a hotel reservation; order food at a restaurant; make telephone calls from, to, and within France; and use numbers 1 to 100 in French. The class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, February 4 through March 13, 2013 February 25 to April 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost for this community education class is $55 and includes the book.

The minimum age to take this class is 16. All classes will be held at the Cerro Coso Ridgecrest Campus in East Wing Room 205.
