Cerro Coso offering Professional Development Classes through Community Education

Ridgecrest, California – Two short classes to help improve workplace skills are now being offered through Cerro Coso's Office of Community Education.

The first class, "Communicating to Get Results", will be held on February 21 and 23 and meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In this 6-hour class participants will learn how to communicate effectively with others at work, including how to be more persuasive in a friendly, constructive manner. The cost is $75 per person. This class will be held in Room 246 on the Cerro Coso campus.

The second class, "Basic Project Management: Planning & Managing", will be held on March 26 and 28, and April 2 and 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In this 8-hour class, participants will learn the basics of project management, including how to estimate timeframes for completing projects, collecting the necessary resources, and managing risk during the project. The cost is $130 per person. This class will held in Room 202 on the Cerro Coso campus.

Both classes are open to the public and will be taught by the owners of ActTooConsulting, Inc., Keith Ray, PhD. and Joan Goppelt, PhD.

These classes do not award college credit.
