Cerro Coso Community College Accepting Registration for Self-Defense Classes

Personal safety is the focus of a series of classes being offered by Cerro Coso Community College. The College is now accepting registrations for Self-Defense classes being offered at the Ridgecrest campus. The series will cover basic and advanced techniques to prevent and protect against attackers, bullies, or other acts of physical aggression. Offered through the College's Office of Community Education, these classes are open to the public.

Basic Self-Defense for Women ($60) will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, August 29 - October 5, 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Basic Self-Defense for Men ($60) will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, August 30 - October 6, 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Advanced Self-Defense ($75) will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, October 10 - November 16, 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Each class will provide students with the physical and mental skills to effectively defend themselves and help protect others from harm.

The minimum age is 18 and each class is limited to 30 students. All classes will be held in Room 407 of the Cerro Coso Community College Gymnasium.
