Lego Robotics Program

Cerro Coso Offering Lego Robotics for Middle Schoolers

Cerro Coso Community College is once again combining robot fun and education. Are you ready to learn Lego Robotics over the summer and have fun at the same time? Sign up today for the colleges summer session of "Lego Robotics for Middle Schoolers" This course is designed for middle school students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades during the 2010-2011 school year. Debby Kurti will instruct the fun-filled class Monday – Thursday, July 12 – 15, 2010 from 12:30 – 5 p.m. in Room 722 of the College's Learning Resource Center.

This course introduces robotics using the LEGO Mindstorms platform. Students will work together in teams to design, build, and program LEGO robots and the class will culminate in a lively competition. This class is designed to educate young students in the basics of mechanical, electronics, and control issues in robotics and entertains them as they gain confidence in problem-solving with technology.
