College Offers Class in "Starting A Small Business"

Cerro Coso Community College is offering a Community Education class on "Starting a Small Business." This two session class will meet on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 and Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the East Wing of the College, Room 210. There is a $25.00 Community Education fee for this course and the minimum age is 16 years old. Class size is limited to 30. Attendees will learn the basics of setting up and running a small business. Discussion will include what type of business, business plan, location, financing, marketing, customers, legal entity, insurance, employees and the government. This course will be instructed by Suzette Caufield who has worked in the business field since 1985. Her experience includes business and bookkeeping consulting for over 100 businesses and individuals and working with CPAs to prepare client books for tax preparation.

To register mail or fax your completed form to the phone number and address listed at the top of the Registration Form. You can also register in person, and pay the $25 fee, at the Admissions and Records Office on the Ridgecrest campus.
