Spring 2010 Schedule of Classes Available Online

Get a jump start on your education today and plan your Spring 2010 class schedule! Visit the College website at www.cerrocoso.edu for details on over 50 courses being offered in 26 different disciplines at the Cerro Coso Community College, Eastern Sierra College Center (ESCC) in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes. The Spring 2010 semester officially starts on Monday, January 18, 2010 which is a Federal holiday; classes will convene on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Some of the courses being offered at the Eastern Sierra College Center include: Ceramics, Microbiology, Personal Finance, Marketing, Digital Cinematography, Emergency Medical Technician, World Literature, Certified Nursing Assistant, Weight Training, Case Management, Spanish, and Speech. Open registration begins on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. To register, visit the College website at www.cerrocoso.edu or visit the Bishop Campus at 4090 West Line Street or the Mammoth Lakes Campus at 101 College Parkway. All students will need to submit an Update Form online before the system will allow you to register. Courses are only $26 per unit. New this year for Cerro Coso is the ability for students to go to their BanWeb account and put themselves on a wait list (sign-up sheet) for classes that are full. The wait list can be used for both on campus or online classes. Full-time students residing in Inyo and Mono counties may be eligible for local scholarships; check with your college guidance counselor for details.

Students may call the ESCC, Bishop Campus at (760) 872-1565 or the ESCC, Mammoth Lakes Campus at (760) 934-2875 for additional information, to set up a counseling appointment, or to sign up and receive information and instructions on taking the College Placement Exam (CPE). The CPE is a multiple choice exam in reading, writing, and math and also an Orientation and Essay Exam. The results of the College Placement Exam are used to assist the student and their counselor in determining class selection. Don't delay; classes convene on January 19, 2010.
