College Reschedules Identity Theft Class to August 7
July 9, 2009
Cerro Coso Community College is offering a Community Education class on
"Identity Theft, Protection and Recovery." This class, originally scheduled
for July 10, will now meet on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until
12:00 noon in the Cerro Coso's Learning Resource Center, Room 604.
There is a $40.00 Community Education fee for this course which includes all
class materials. Instructed by Robert Pearce, Private Investigator,
attendees will learn to deter, detect, and most importantly defend
themselves against this rapidly growing crime in America. Participants
will learn how to modify their everyday behavior to reduce their exposure to
identity theft. Students will also learn when and how to use a fraud
alert or security freeze on their credit file, how to order and read their
credit file history and paying attention to signs of illegal activity.

completed registration forms to the College Admissions & Records Office and
pay the $40 fee. Register today; this class is limited to 45 students.
