Join the Cerro Coso Kern Valley Orchestra this Fall

Calling all musicians! The Cerro Coso Community College, Kern River
Valley Campus in Lake Isabella is offering "Orchestra" as a Community
Education Class for the Fall 2009 Semester. Share your musical talent,
register today. This class entitled "Cerro Coso Kern Valley Orchestra"
will begin on Monday, August 24, 2009 and go through December 7, 2009.
Instructed by Bruce Brady, this class will meet on Monday evenings from
5:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Room G of the Cerro Coso Community College, Kern River
Valley Campus located at 5520 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella.
There is a class fee of $30 and the minimum age for the class is 10 years
old. The Cerro Coso Kern Valley Orchestra performs a variety of styles
of classical and semi-classical music. This includes music from the
stage and movies, popular music, music from around the world and
big-band/jazz arrangements. Students will be required to participate
in two performances per semester. All students should be able to play
all major scales and be able to read music. Woodwind or brass
musicians should have at least one year of playing experience or
instruction. String musicians should have at least three years of
playing experience or instruction or be able to play in third position.

the College website at
www.cerrocoso.edu/communityed. Click on "Community Education
Registration Form" under the section for the Kern River Valley Campus.
Students may mail or fax their completed form to the address or fax number
listed at the top of the form. You can also register in person at the
Admissions and Records Office at the Kern River Valley Campus.
