College to Present Production of "Picnic"

December 1, 2008

The Cerro Coso Theatre Department will present Picnic by William Inge on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the College Lecture Center.

Picnic takes place in a small Kansas town on Labor Day weekend in the joint backyards of Flo Owens and Helen Potts. Living with Flo are her two daughters, the beautiful Madge and the smart Millie; while Helen lives only with her invalid mother. Into this mix a handsome stranger is thrown, who upsets the familiarity of the women's lives and life in this small Kansas town will never be the same.

Come support this amazing cast and crew as they perform this memorable Pulitzer Prize winning play and enjoy an evening of pure entertainment.

Tickets are available for presale at Red Rock Books and at the College Business Office. Tickets will also be available on performance nights at the door. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $4 for students, seniors, and military.
