Lifespan Development Course Offered this Summer at IWV

Looking for something to do this summer? Why not enroll in a Psychology class at Cerro Coso Community College.
"Lifespan Development" PSYC C211, CRN 50833 will be offered on Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. This course is a survey of developmental research and theory from the prenatal period through old age. Findings in physiological, perceptual, cognitive, social, emotional, vocational, and personality development will be reviewed. Issues in research methodology and applications will be addressed.

This 3 unit class will be taught by instructor Blanca Kurti. Kurti holds an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to being the TRiO Counselor at Cerro Coso Community College, she also works part-time as an Marriage and Family Therapy intern, doing therapy with children, teens and their families.

"General Psychology" PSYC C101, CRN 50832 will also be offered this summer. This 3 unit course offers the student an introduction to the scientific study of behavior; perceptions, thinking, motivation, emotion, intelligence and learning; general psychological principles will be covered.
