Forensics Forum this Friday at Cerro Coso

A Forensics Forum is scheduled at Cerro Coso for this Friday, February
22. The Associated Student Body of Cerro Coso is hosting Dr. Yohe, Forensic
Anthropologist from California State University, Berkley (CSUB). He
will conduct two, two (2) hour seminars. The first seminar that will
be conducted from 1 to 2:50 p.m. is titled "Forensic Anthropology: An
Introduction" will provide general background information and a primer on
forensic osteology. The second two hour seminar from 3 to 5 p.m. is titled
"Forensic Anthropology in Action: Case Studies" which will present various
cases, including several he has worked on in the recent past). Tickets
will $10.00 for General Admission, $5.00 for ASCC Card Holders.
Dr. Yohe holds a Ph.D. and Masters in Anthropology from UC Riverside. He
holds a B.A. in Anthropology from California State University, San
Bernardino.
Yohe has a multitude of experience holding many management positions in his
career. Yohe has served as State Archaeologist for Idaho, Director of
Archaeological Survey of Idaho, Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer,
Adjunct Assistant Professor at Boise State University, Assistant Professor
of Anthropology at CSUB, and Director of the Museum of Anthropology at CSUB
and Coordinator of the Southern San Joaquin Valley Historic Resource Center.
Prehistory of western North America (emphasis on California, Northwest, and
Great Basin) and Roman Egypt; faunal analysis, human osteology; forensic
anthropology are his specialties.
