Late-Start, Short-Term Spanish Classes Offered at IWV

Make yourself more valuable at work by taking one of several late-start, short-term Spanish classes at Cerro Coso this spring. Five "Special Topic Spanish" SPAN C252 classes are being offered with instructor Lucila Gonzales-Cirre. Each of the five classes is a 0.50 unit class, with most meeting only four to five times on consecutive Saturdays.

Each of these classes is designed for students who wish to pursue special areas of study within the Spanish discipline. The classes are geared towards certain occupations.

"Spanish for Law Enforcement" meets on Saturdays, March 8, 15, 22, April 5 and 12. The SPAN C252 (CRN: 30711), meets from 9:10 to 10:40 a.m.

"Accents, Cognates, Idiomatic Expressions and Spelling Rules" (CRN: 30712) will be held on Saturdays, March 8, 15, 22, April 5 and 12. The class meets from 10:50 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.

"Spanish for Health Care Professionals" (CRN: 30710) will meet on Saturdays, April 19, 26, May 3 and 10 from 9:10 to 11:35 a.m.

Another class entitled "Spanish for Educators" (CRN: 30709) will meet on Saturdays, March 8, 15, 22, April 5 and 12. The class will meet from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

"Spanish for Travelers" (CRN: 30713) meets on Thursday evenings from 6:40 to 7:55 p.m. on March 6, 13, 20, April 3 and 10.

All of these "Special Topic Spanish" classes will be held on the Indian Wells Valley Campus. Students may register on ground in the Admission and Records Office or online at www.cerrocoso.edu.
