Critical Thinking Through Literature Offered at ESCC
January 18, 2008
The Cerro Coso Community College Eastern Sierra College Center is
offering a 3-unit Critical Thinking through Literature course this spring
that is transferable to four year institutions.
This course emphasizes critical analysis, principles of logic, and
presentations of carefully-reasoned written arguments. Students will write
expository and argumentative essays, showing students' ability to analyze
and evaluate source material and to generate and to develop independent
topics of inquiry.
This class (ENGL C102) is taught by Mark Schlenz and meets via interactive
television at both the Bishop (CRN: 30194) and Mammoth Lakes (CRN: 30195)
campuses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:55 p.m. Register today,
the spring semester starts Tuesday,
January 22, 2008.
