College to Offer CPR & EMT Classes This Spring

Eastern Sierra College Center is pleased to announce that is it offering
an American Red Cross course in CPR for the professional Rescuer and
emergency medical care techniques this semester. Students completing
the CPR course will receive a one-half unit of college credit and CPR
certification through the American Red Cross. This EMTC C070 CPR course is
Saturday, February 16 from 8:00am - 6:00 PM.
The Emergency Medical Techniques I course uses the principles of emergency
medical care through recognition of signs and symptoms. Students will
learn proper procedures of emergency care and transportation required for
EMT-1 personnel. Upon completion of the course with a passing grade each
student receives a Certificate of Completion that allows them to apply for
County certification as an EMT-1. This EMTC C105 course meets Mondays and
Wednesdays, 5:10-8:20pm, and occasional Saturdays. The Saturday times
will be announced during the first class meetings.
The spring semester of classes begins January 22. Late registration
continues through January 28.
Both courses will be held at the Eastern Sierra College Center, Bishop
