Attention Beginning Drivers!
Join Instructor James Thompson in June for Driver's Education

Kern River Valley, CA – May 11, 2005

Cerro Coso Community College Kern River Valley Campus is offering Driver's Education as a Community Education Class. This class, taught by James Thompson, will begin on June 13 through June 23, 2005, Monday through Friday from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m. at Kern Valley High School.

Driver Education – this course will present to the beginning driver a practical and realistic guide to the fundamentals of driving and the rules of the road. Driver Education will take the student step by step from the basics of vehicle control to the specific dangers of different driving environments to the responsibilities of vehicle ownership. The student will receive knowledge to help him/her be a safe and competent driver. Parental consent is required.

This class meets the requirements of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but does not offer behind the wheel instruction. There is a class fee of $35; students may register and pay the Community Education fees at the College office located at 5520 Lake Isabella Blvd. during regular business hours or with the instructor at the first class.
