CCCC to Hold Community Education Classes in Mammoth

Mammoth Lakes, CA – January 22, 2004

Cerro Coso Community College Eastern Sierra College Center in Mammoth will be offering the following Community Education course this spring.

Piano Lab
This beginning piano class will discuss the fundamentals of music theory. Scales, intervals, key signature, triads, basic diatonic harmony, and basic concepts of piano technique and piano interpretation will be cover during this community education class. There is a class fee of $75.00. Piano lab will meet for 12 Mondays beginning on February 2, 2004.

The Head and Face
In this class students will focus on visually rendering the head and its features by drawing from a live model. In addition, we will discuss the proportion and anatomy of the head and face as well as study the work of other artists. Students will be encouraged towards accurate rendering while maintaining their individual expressive style. Class is open to students with any level of experience. Class fee is $75 and a list of addition class supplies will be provided upon registration. Class day and time has not yet been scheduled.

Dynamic Figure Drawing
This course will focus on drawing the human form through direct observation of a live, nude model. Some basics of proportion and anatomy of the human figure will be reviewed in addition to mark making and composition. Students will be encouraged to explore their own creativity and expressive style. Class is open to students with any level of experience. Class fee is $75 and a list of addition class supplies will be provided upon registration. Class day and time has not yet been scheduled.

Students may register and pay the Community Education fees at the College office located at 101 College Parkway during regular business hours or with the instructor at the first class.
