Cerro Coso Will Host a Community Focus Group on Strategic Planning at CCCC

Mammoth Lakes, CA – November 26, 2003

Cerro Coso Community College will be hosting a community focus group on Strategic Planning at Cerro Coso Community College Thursday, December 11, 2003 at 5:30 pm in room 215 of the Eastern Sierra College Center, 101 College Parkway, Mammoth Lakes.

Some of the questions that will be asked during this Strategic Planning focus group will be:

• Impressions on the quality of instruction and student services (admissions and records, financial aid, registration, counseling and child care) at Cerro Coso Community College?
• How can Cerro Coso serve our community in terms of the following?
• Future employees
• In service training for current employees
• Civic responsibilities
• Partnerships with schools, businesses and agencies
• What members of your community is Cerro Coso currently not reaching and/or serving? What could the college do to reach those individuals?
• How will your community/business/agency/school change over the next 5-10 years? What should Cerro Coso be looking at in terms of being able to meet those changes? What should a Cerro Coso degree mean to be valuable in your community/business/agency/school's future?
• How can Cerro Coso partner to more effectively deliver all levels of workforce preparation from technical preparation to workplace skills such as communication and teamwork to effective workplace behaviors?

The public is invited to attend and participate in this Strategic Planning Focus Group for Cerro Coso Community College.
