A luncheon for the honorees will begin at 12:00 noon. The ceremony for students and guests will begin at 12:30 until 2:00 p.m.

"The Special Services Awards Ceremony is one of the high-lights of the year at our college. It is a time of completion and success. A time filled with positive memories to be shared with friends and family," stated Dr. Mary Peoples, Director of Special Services.

This years' theme is Blooming with Knowledge. The ceremony honors Cerro Coso Community College graduates receiving Associates Degrees, students who have completed Certificate programs, and students who have passed the GED test.

Each year the Special Services Program recognizes a member of the faculty, Special Services staff member and a Special Services graduating student.

"This year honorees will be selected from two campuses. The Kern River Valley Campus and from the Indian Wells Valley Campus," stated Daniel Lopez, Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) Assistant Director. The Special Services staff from respective campuses will select their honorees. Awards will be presented to those who are selected. The co-chairs for this year's ceremony are Liz Allen and Kandi Smith.
