Flood, tornado, earthquake...new Job Development Specialist Kristen Wolf is no stranger to natural and man-made disasters. Previous to moving to Ridgecrest, Kristen served as a Disaster Program Director for the American Red Cross. There she expertly assisted communities in the Central Valley region that includes nine counties to become stronger and more resilient before and after a catastrophe. "It was an extremely intense job," said Kristen.

When her husband Daniel got a job on base it was time for a change, so the Bakersfield native and her family made the move to this side of the mountains to put down roots in Ridgecrest. "When I say roots, I mean roots," explained Kristen. "I want my son, Doc (5), to establish lifelong friendships here." To get away, the young family likes to shred the slopes snowboarding.

Being curious by nature, Kristen loves to read and hone her profiling skills that will come in handy in matching student interests and abilities to employer hiring needs. "My goal is an 80% to 90% success rate matching students with employers," she concluded. Kristen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and is currently working on her Master's in Trauma Psychology from Cal State Bakersfield.

WELCOME to the Cerro Coso family, Kristen!
