Popular Band To Perform at Cerro Coso Community College

October 3, 2011

Walk Off Hits

The popular alternative pop-rock band "Walk Off Hits" will perform in the Cerro Coso Community College Luis Miro Sculpture Garden on Saturday, October 8, 2011. The 4 p.m. concert will be a free event for all those in attendance.

What do you get when influenced by the sounds of Tower of Power, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the catchy pop/punk styles of Blink182, All Time Low, and Sum41? Walk off Hits – an American pop, alternative rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Back by popular demand, the band will rock the Cerro Coso Luis Miro Sculpture Garden this Saturday.

Nothing in baseball is more exciting than the Walk Off Hit, and that is where this band got its name. Walk Off Hits has played some large shows in the Vegas area and has also toured the country playing big venues such as: Peabody's Concert Club, Cleveland; House of Blues, Las Vegas; and Elbo Room, Chicago. They plan on following up their "East Coast Girl Tour Summer 2011" with a 2 week winter tour this December on the west coast, followed by a 50 show national Summer tour in 2012. On top of this the boys will be releasing their newly mastered version of their first album, "For the Love of The Game," just released in October followed by the recording of their second studio album (yet to be named) in January 2012.

The Associated Students of Cerro Coso (ASCC) invite the community to bring their lawn chair and enjoy the great sounds of Walk of Hits for FREE. The concert is the latest installment of "Concerts in the Garden" ASCC concert series.

Water, soft drinks, and treats will be available for purchase.
