Digital Media Arts Classes in Bishop And Mammoth this Spring

Develop computer illustration and design skills through visual design exercises and projects including logos and marks, technical and creative illustration, package designs, and simple graphic communications in DMA C107 Illustration/Design with Illustrator. The 3-unit course is a HYBRID class delivered via Adobe Connect and held concurrently between IWV, Bishop, and Mammoth campuses. Both on-site and online participation are required. Students will develop an awareness of various illustrative styles and genre and increase proficiency through the intermediate level in the use of vector drawing application, Adobe Illustrator. No prior knowledge of the software is required. The class will meet on Wednesdays from 7:10 – 8:40 p.m.

Digital Cinema planning and production through hands-on experience is the focus of DMA C135. This 3-unit course is also a HYBRID class delivered via Adobe Connect and held concurrently between IWV, Bishop, and Mammoth campuses. Students will explore artistic expression, logistics, script writing, single camera operation and procedures, lighting, sound recording and editing, and digital video edition. Ray Hocker will instruct the course on Mondays from 7:10 – 8:40 p.m. and Tuesdays at a time to be determined.
