CCCC Holds 32nd Commencement Exercises
Ridgecrest, CA – May 3, 2005
Cerro Coso Community College's 32nd Commencement Exercises are scheduled
for Friday, May 13, 2005 at 6PM in the Raymond A. McCue Athletic Complex of
the College's Indian Wells Valley Campus in Ridgecrest.
Cerro Coso will be honoring a class of approximately 240 eligible graduates
from the IWV Campus in Ridgecrest, Kern River Valley Center in Lake
Isabella, and the South Kern Center at Edwards Air Force Base.
The following students have been selected by the Academic Senate to address
the graduates at commencement: Adam Auer (A.A. in General Education) and
Annell Farris (A.A. in General Education) from the Indian Wells Valley
Campus and Chad Adams (A.S. in Social Sciences) from the South Kern Campus.
Jocselyn
Himes has been selected as the Alumni Association's Distinguished
Commencement Speaker. Himes attended Cerro Coso Community College from
1990-1994. She then went on to the Kansas City Art Institute and graduated
with a degree in Art History and Fiber in 1997. Since graduating, she has
developed a body of work using several methods including Shibori, and a
rust-printing technique. Clothing designers Bill Blass and Vera Wang have
purchased her fabric designs for use in their clothing collections.
